Beach Avenue starts at Ontario Beach Park in Charlotte and runs westward along the Lake Ontario shore to the town of Greece where it turns into Edgemere Drive. Beach Avenue is lined with beautiful waterfront homes that date from Victorian times to the mid-twentieth century. The lakefront here is on a bluff, offering protection from high water and lakefront houses have their own beaches with gorgeous views of both sunrise and sunset on Lake Ontario.
Due to the violent weather in winter these houses do not have docks- though some people put in boat hoists that must be removed each fall. However there are multiple marinas nearby on the Genesee River suitable for any size boat.
One great way to see Beach Avenue's beautiful homes is to start at Ontario Beach Park and walk the sidewalk west. At one point the sidewalk goes behind the homes and run along the lakefront bluff, giving you a glimpse of the views homeowners enjoy.
